Description

EcoTemp 80% Single Stage 110K BTU Gas Furnace, WFER110C060C

The WFER110C060C is the highest-airflow furnace in the WFER range, and it does it from a 21 in. cabinet rather than the widest one. A full 1 HP five-speed blower with an 11 x 11 in. wheel pushes 1890 CFM in heating and 2040 CFM in cooling, backing a 5 ton condenser, while five monoport burners deliver 110,000 BTUH of input and 90,000 BTUH of output at 80.00% AFUE. Certified external static pressure is 0.20 in. w.c. in heating – the highest in the line – which is the specification that lets it hold airflow through demanding duct systems.

Is a 110K BTU Gas Furnace the Right Size?

One hundred ten thousand BTUH of input, producing 90,000 BTUH delivered, is a serious heating capacity for a residential furnace: large homes, poorly insulated older houses, northern climates, or properties where the design temperature genuinely warrants it. The 060 cooling code puts a 5 ton blower behind it, so this furnace is the indoor half of a full-size split system.

Two figures separate this model from the 90K in the same 21 in. cabinet. Airflow rises from 1445 to 2040 CFM on the cooling tap, and the motor steps from 1/2 HP to a full 1 HP at 11.5 full load amps – which changes the electrical requirement to 12 gauge minimum wire and a 20 amp maximum breaker. Confirm the branch circuit before scheduling. As with every 80% furnace, size from a calculated heat loss rather than replacing like for like; homes that have been re-insulated or re-windowed frequently need less input than the unit coming out.

Ideal for: Large single-family homes, older houses with weaker envelopes, northern-climate installations, and 5 ton system matches where the plenum and coil case are 21 in. wide.

Need more capacity? Step up to the 135K BTU EcoTemp WFER135D060C Gas Furnace, the largest in the line, with 132,000 BTUH of input in a 24-1/2 in. cabinet.

Recommended applications are general guidelines only. Actual furnace selection depends on a calculated heat loss, duct design, venting, gas supply and local code. Request free sizing assistance, contact Budget Heating, or call 813-885-7999.

The 21 in. accessories apply – filter rack NAHB00701FF and return air kit NAHA02101RA. On the cooling side the 5 ton match is a coil such as the EcoTemp W5AM61M21XA R-454B cased coil, which shares the 21 in. width, or the 24-1/2 in. W5AM60M24XA. The low-NOx counterpart is the EcoTemp WFEL110C060A.

The physical data table confirms 110,000 BTUH input for size 110C060 and lists the heavier electrical requirements. Note the air delivery footnote: for air delivery above 1800 CFM, review the speed tap options in the air delivery table rather than relying on the as-shipped tap.
