Amana PTAC Condensate Drain Kit for WS900E Wall Sleeves, DK900D
The Amana DK900D Condensate Drain Kit is the drain kit Amana specifies for its WS900E standard-depth PTAC wall sleeve. It attaches to the sleeve base pan so condensate from the PTAC can be carried away in a controlled way, either outside the building or to an interior drain. The kit is field installed and should go in before the chassis and outdoor grille. It is the right choice for contractors, maintenance teams and property managers working with WS900E sleeves in hotels, apartments, senior living, dorms and offices.
Is the DK900D the Right Drain Kit for Your Sleeve?
Choose by wall sleeve model, not by PTAC chassis. Amana’s accessories catalog pairs the DK900D with the Amana WS900E PTAC wall sleeve, its 42″ wide × 16-1/16″ high sleeve with the industry-standard 14⅛″ depth. Amana also lists the DK900D as the separately sold drain for its WS900D-INTERNAL window-wall sleeve. If you’re installing a newer WS900QW sleeve, Amana specifies the DK900QW instead.
Choose the drain method before the sleeve and chassis go in. For an indoor drain, the parts mount to the sleeve bottom before the sleeve is set in the wall. For an outdoor drain, they go on the rear of the sleeve before the Amana SGK01B outdoor grille is attached. Local building codes decide which method is allowed, so check before you plan the drain line.

The DK900D is a combination kit, so the same box handles internal or external drainage. Install only the parts for the method you choose. The gaskets and blank-off plates seal the sleeve’s unused drain holes against water and weather. The kit connects the sleeve to your drain system but doesn’t include the drain line, so plan to supply tubing or piping to carry condensate to an approved location.
External & Internal Drain Features
External Drain Setup
- Drains from the left or right rear corner of the WS900E sleeve
- Outdoor fitting fastens over a sleeve drain hole with two screws
- Gasket seals the fitting to the sleeve
- Blank-off plate and gasket seal the opposite drain hole
- Installs from inside the room with the rear enclosure panel and sleeve stiffener removed
- Goes on before the SGK01B or architectural outdoor grille

Internal Drain Setup
