This is the largest system in the Rheem Endeavor Line Classic RA15AY lineup. It pairs the RA15AY60AJ1NA condenser with the RH2TY6024STANNJ two-stage-airflow air handler under AHRI certificate #215359092, listed at 15.2 SEER2. It delivers 60,000 BTU/h on low-GWP R-454B refrigerant, and the condenser comes with a factory-installed crankcase heater. The air handler’s PlusOne Refrigerant Detection System pauses the outdoor unit if a leak is detected. It’s cooling only, with Rheem electric heat strips up to 20 kW offered.
Is a 5 Ton Air Conditioning System the Right Size?
A 5 ton system provides 60,000 BTU/h of nominal cooling, the largest size for most residential split systems. It’s often used in homes around 2,500-3,000+ sq. ft. as a loose guide, and in some light commercial spaces.
